Since its founding in San Francisco in 2011, SingleStore have established themselves as the backbone of real-time data infrastructure for global enterprises. Their platform powers the applications behind ride-share alerts, fraud detection and streaming recommendations for NVIDIA, American Express, Samsung, Comcast and hundreds of the world's most demanding brands. The company, now operating across 50+ countries and 40+ industries, are engineers, systems architects and product visionaries in equal measure, building the invisible mega-infrastructure that keeps the digital world moving. But ahead of their acquisition by Vector Capital in 2025, SingleStore faced a challenge: the brand still read as a database scale-up, not the generational data platform it had become. We were brought in to create the institutional gravitas and strategic positioning the next chapter demanded.
The duality within SingleStore, technical and human, shaped our work together across brand strategy and identity system. At its core, SingleStore is where bits and bytes become moments and memories. Where the ones and zeros of real-time data connect people on opposite sides of the planet. Where nanosecond processing enables the time we actually care about: time together, time to connect. We articulated this idea as “the time is now”, a statement of capability and urgency in equal measure.
The identity draws on the details and dimensions of time itself: the logo constructed from temporal principles, image treatments that stretch real-time to isolate a single nanosecond, art direction capturing collective moments — humanity in motion. The whole system is built from the language of time, grounding technical performance in lived experience.
The result is a brand with the scale and permanence of the generational platform it represents.
